Grants

  • The University of Pennsylvania awarded Community Alliance for Development a CAREs Grant for their Computer Digital Literacy Project. The funds provide new computers and basic computer literacy training to seniors at home on a "one on one" basis. IT technicians are paid to train and assist them with the specific focus on their Telehealth needs.

  • The Clean Air Council awarded the organization a Public Space Enhancement Grant which provides funding for the beautification of a public space in the community. It will be a green space with plants and vegetables for the community to cultivate. This promotes a healthier quality of life for the neighbors.   

  • The Bread and Roses Community Fund awarded the organization the Opportunity Fund, which will address the concerns of the community concerning overdevelopment. There is an emerging issue with unaffordable housing and overcrowding in our community.

  • The West Philadelphia Power Academy awarded the organization the Advocacy Award for “Educating Neighbors on the Proper Trash Disposal Policies”. This will improve the conditions of block by block cleanups and trash disposal in the 19104 zip code.

  • Community Alliance was able to secure twenty security cameras for our community members, from a grant supported by State Representative Amen Brown.
